Judi’s Studio is a sewing school which was set up in 1989 to provide a resource for those who love to sew. Judy Haling , the proprietor and teacher has taught Tailoring, Dressmaking, Millinery and Pattern design in NSW TAFE colleges for 16 years but was inspired to begin her own school after a trip to the USA in 1989, working with the Palmer /Pletsch Sew educators organisation.

Judi’s Studio manufacture specialised sewing and tailoring products for sew enthusiasts, tailors and alteration companies. More recently we have become an integral part of “behind the scenes” for Film, Television and Theatre. TV shows like ‘Neighbours’, Films such as Baz Luhrman’s ‘Australia’, Warner Bros in Gold Coast, and the Australian Ballet all have Judi’s Studio Professional Sleevboards in their costume department…great to take on location as they are sturdy and compact!

Judi’s Studio Australia is a sewing school that has operated since 1989 providing sewing tuition in the areas of garment assembly, pattern making, tailoring and overlocking. Beginners and experienced sewers are welcome. Classes are held in our sunlit, air-conditioned studio, overlooking the surrounding garden & hills.
